Computers in use

The School Library

All seven classrooms are fully carpeted, heated and air-conditioned. Computers are installed in every classroom.

The school library is spacious and well stocked with an outstanding collection of fiction, and non-fiction books, audio-visual materials and recreational activities. The library is fully automated with all borrowing being processed through a central computer.

A fully equipped Reading Recovery room is situated in the Administration Block. Reading Recovery is offered to all eligible students.

The school is justly proud of its 'state of the art' computer network. There are 6 networked computers in each classroom. All six classrooms have an Interactive Whiteboard. All classrooms are connected to the Internet. School policy requires all children to become 'computer literate'.

Students and staff use the computer facility to produce their own publications. The facility is supported with digital cameras, scanners, binding equipment, colour and laser printers.

The school grounds offer students the opportunity to play major games in a safe environment. There is plenty of space for children to participate in quiet activities as well. In 2005, the oval was returfed, a watering system was installed along with a new cricket pitch, a cricket net for practise and seven fitness activities.

An extensive shade area is used for lunch and as an outdoor working area. The school is fully fenced, well maintained and provides all children with an interesting, diverse and safe environment.
